Take responsibility, save lives on our roads.

Welcome our road safety Website
We aim to collect road safety information from individuals, private and public organisations. We want to "make a difference" on our roads here in Australia and around the world.

We believe everyone can contribute to a safer world. After all, roads are the lifeblood of our societies. The safer they are, the better it will be for everyone.

Our first project we are promoting is a thinktank in Sydney, Australia happening on 27 and 28th May 2000. Participants will be from all aspects of the community, not just road safety experts.

The aim is for everyone to become aware of the lethal aspect of being on our roads. Entitled "Take Responsibility. Save Lives." We want to put the responsibility back into the community and raise awareness of people in the industry to take more care when servicing vehicles and maintaining our roads.

Welcome to Safer Roads Thinktank.Roads are the lifeblood of our society. Many families have suffered through loss of lives on our roads. It's time to take quantum leaps in road safety. It's time for each of us to take responsibility to save lives.
We are organising a safer roads thinktank "Take Responsibilty. Save Lives." in Sydney, Australia on May 27 and 28, 2000. We want to put responsibility back to the community.
There will be six 3-hour road safety workshops focusing on:

# Road rage and suicide

# What is safe & courteous driving

#Happy & safe touring for pedestrians & cyclists

#Safe car design wishlist

#Maintaining vehicle safety

#User-friendly road designs
Structure: Each workshop will first brainstorm 10 key issues for the first half hour; then develop as many solutions as possible for the half hour. Have a 15 minute break, then go into reducing solutions to 20 key recommendations.

Six full reports will be presented to a public meeting on the Sunday 28th May 2000. Excerpts will be sent to relevant government and private bodies for possible action.

While we realise that some of the recommendations may only be to set up further workshops, we believe that many lives can be saved if just one recommendation is taken on board.

Please help us make a difference and participate in any way you can.
This would also be a great place to include any new information or changes that you have made to your site recently. It is important to regularly change the content on your site and make updates to the information that you display. Doing this will help you to get more return visits from your visitors.

Become an "aware" driver, turn down the radio, open your window, use all your senses to drive safely!
